American artist Doug Aitken has installed a ranch-style house clad in mirrors in the mountains of Gstaad, Switzerland. The single-storey Mirage structure, so called because it reflects the surrounding landscape and disappears into it, is covered top-to-bottom in mirrors. It is one of the works of art created on the occasion of the third edition of "Elevation 1049", which invites artists to work in Gstaad and the surrounding area. The aim is to reflect the Alpine landscape from the mirrors placed on the facades. (Photo/IC)
